In Florida alimony/spousal support is statutorily awarded after careful judicial review and weighing of the totality of the circumstances including the balancing economic NEED and economic ABILITY to pay. Need over greed must prevail. Thank you to Governor Scott for his veto on the alimony reform bill last year. Protecting Florida's women & children should always be top priority when cookie cutter legislation is proposed.
